AltraBio is participating in an initiative that brings together 15 partners, with a total budget exceeding 2.6 million euros.

The SIGNATURE Project

The SIGNATURE project (SInGle cells iN AuToimmUne inflammatoRy disEases) is part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and Horizon Europe programs. This international network will train entrepreneurial and innovative doctoral students, capable of turning knowledge into beneficial products and services.

Coordination and Partners

The project is coordinated by the Andalusian Public Foundation Progress and Health in Spain, led by researchers Marta Alarcón-Riquelme and Concepción Marañón Lizana. AltraBio has collaborated with these researchers for over 5 years on major European projects.

The network includes academic partners such as the University of Western Brittany in France, the Flanders Institute of Biotechnology in the Netherlands, the Rheumatism Research Center in Germany, and the University of Catania in Italy. Biotechnology companies like Atrys Health in Spain and AltraBio in Lyon are also actively involved.

Training Doctoral Students

Ten doctoral students will be recruited, including one at AltraBio. They will be trained within the partner organizations, gaining exposure to both academic and non-academic sectors. Their training will prepare them for future employment in biomedical sciences.

The doctoral student recruited by AltraBio will develop Machine Learning-based analytical approaches to analyze and integrate data generated by the consortium. They will also identify molecular stratifications of targeted pathologies and molecular predictors of treatment response.
